5 months and counting...

A little late on the 5 month update, we have had a busy couple of days!  Since we have decided to stay in our house and not sell for a bit, we are in the process of updating and doing a little redecorating.  So, needless to say we have spent some significant time shopping and hitting up Lowe's.  Ah, the good ol' days!  These times remind me of when we first moved into our house.  Ben and I spent many nights at Qdoba and then going furniture and paint shopping.
Our first purchase?  A new TV, Ben is thrilled, I am trying to adjust.  As many of you know, I am not a lover of the television.  But, it is time we put a TV on the main floor.  After Ben rearranged our entire living room last night (thank you Ben!) I could hardly look at the TV, it looked way too big.  I was thinking more along the lines of 26", that was laughed at and quickly turned down, so we bought a 40".  I think over time it will grow on me :)

Charlie, is, of course, cuter and sweeter than ever.  He is continuing to sleep so great at night, 11-12 hours!!!!  Music to a parent's ears!  He loves toes in his mouth whenever he is being changed, that also goes for his fingers, the more the better :)
When propped up on his pillow he rolls over from his tummy to his back, but not the other way around yet, he is so close though.  Charlie loves blowing "raspberries" with his mouth, sometimes he does it first thing in the morning, I wake up to it through the monitor!
He also went to the nursery at church for the first time this month and has been doing really well, but I think about him during my Bible study and the service.  I think if I kept him with me I could focus a little better!

We went to get Charlie's first pumpkin last weekend, which felt so strange, 80 degrees, and we were in shorts! But, Charlie had different plans.  As I picked him up I realized my arm felt sticky and wet, as did Charlie's little bottom - oh yes - a blowout!  Not that this is uncommon, it's actually almost a daily occurrence.  This one was especially bad though, he got me too, and his carseat.  We changed his diaper, clothes, and opted to come back this weekend when his Mimi and Papa are in town.  Gotta love a breastfed baby :)

Yes, this was supposed to be a great pumpkin picking day, but we headed home early due to a diaper situation on Charlie and mommy!

One of Ben's favorites, he thinks he looks like a fish :)

My training is winding down and the GR Marathon is this weekend.  Charlie has totally been my training buddy, I will never forget this race because of him.  It's so much more fun to run when you've got a sweet little chubby cheeked boy watching you (I secretly think he is cheering me on!).
