Charlie's first Florida trip

Charlie, this is one trip that you will take MANY more times in your life! You come from a family who loves beaches, warm weather, and Disney. This trip was extra special because it was not only your first time to Florida, but also your first airplane ride, first time to the ocean, and your very first time seeing Grandpa Brown, Uncle Bill, and Aunt Marguerite. They love you very much and we hope to see them again soon.

We started off at the beach, near St. Petersburg. We didn't have a lot of time there, but we made the most of it. We spent all day at the beach. Mimi rented a cabana so you could have some shade, and you even took a little PM nap in there too!
Next we headed to downtown Disney, one of my favorite places!! You are too young to actually go to Disney World, plus daddy was not with us. So, we did the next best thing and bought you your first Mickey Mouse while we went shopping at the Disney stores and ate at Rainforest Cafe.
This is not actually the Mickey you currently own, the first one got thrown out of the stroller at some point. The people at the store were so nice and gave you another one for free. Gotta love Disney!!

Next we headed to Clermont to see Grandpa Brown, Uncle Bill, and Aunt Marguerite. We made a lot of great memories and they were all very happy to see you and play with you. You are such a special little guy to many people, Charlie!

Can you believe this guy is 89 years old? I hope I inherit those genes! And, this was your first bath in a sink. Crazy, I know, but you have always been bathed in our bathtub at home. This was a special "first sink bath" experience since it was at Grandpa's house. I have many memories of being a child and spending warm days in that kitchen while Grandma cooked meals from scratch and I would prowl around looking for food/scraps to munch on.

After a dinner of great Mexican food (Puffs for you, sorry.) We headed over to a yogurt shop in Clermont.

Love you Charlie, lots of great Florida memories ahead of us!

Love,
Mama
