Mexico, baby!

Mexico, Mexico, we miss you already! Those of you who know us well know that Ben and I love beaches, sun, pool time, and all-you-can-eat buffets (ha ha!), which is why Mexico is one of our favorite places to go on vacation. This trip was a little different than previous trips since we took a certain little someone with us! Definitely the most memorable trip to Mexico yet. Luckily, Charlie is an awesome traveler and napper, so he really could not have been any better. Although we did have to deal with some illness on the trip, our time there was amazing, just like always! Does this suitcase look like a kid's dream or what? Ben thought this was hilarious!

Finally arriving in Cancun at our resort, with all of our luggage. I usually had Charlie and Ben had everything else. He was nicknamed the "Dad Mule" on our trip, what a sport!

Charlie LOVED the water, ocean, and sand. He could have played all day in that water!

There was a Mayan ruin on our resort's property so we took a little hike up there to check it out. On our way down we found some crazy, mean looking iguanas. I thought they were going to hop in the Baby Bjorn with Little C! Look closely, there are 2!

Ben took Charlie to the aquarium while I was a little under the weather.

Charlie usually took 1.5-2 hours nap in the morning and afternoon, awesome! Ben being the organized and detail-oriented planner that he is got us a great suite that had 2 bedrooms and a deck that overlooked the ocean and the pool. We spent a lot of time out here during Charlie's naps. We even filled the jacuzzi with cool water so we could take a dip when we needed a break. The bar was directly below our balcony and the base was bumping all day long. We think Charlie loved it, he slept so soundly with it. Do we have a future DJ on our hands?

Charlie made many friends at our resort. The men and women thought he looked just like the Gerber baby and loved his blue eyes and bald head :) They called him Carlos and usually sat us right by the hostess stand so that they could play with him while we ate. Here are two of Carlos' favorites!

And, as Ben says, this pretty much sums up our trip!

Thank you Ben for planning an unforgettable trip for Charlie and I, you are the best dad and husband out there. And Little C, thanks for traveling so well and being patient with us, we love you as always and look forward to many more memorable vacations with you :)
