9 months has come so fast. It really hit me this month that you are well on your way to almost being one year old, tears! Charlie, you are so special and we look forward to seeing you change day by day. This was a month of many changes and important happenings.
You took your first plane ride!! You are now awarded World's Best Traveler! You were a champ in the airports and plane rides, and you were so patient with me since it was mostly you and I in the airport. Daddy had to stay home and work so you and I met Mimi in Atlanta then we all flew to Florida together. We saw Papa Brown, Uncle Bill, and Aunt Marguerite. They had only seen pictures of you so this was a very special treat for them. I wish I had pictures to document this, but they are all on Mimi's camera (pictures to follow in a couple weeks...).
This month we went cc skiing, played in the snow and made very good use of your snowsuit. Because we haven't had as much snow as usual, we were able to bundle up and take Chico on some stroller walks. You think pulling yourself up is the best thing ever right now. It's either because you feel really strong or because Daddy and I yell, scream, clap, and dance when you do it. Anything to let you know we are proud of you!!
You are also waving hi and sometimes a little "Hi", or something that sounds like that, comes out too. And you all of a sudden you said "Mama", yippeeee!! I have been waiting for this moment, and yes, I cried when I heard it.
You have always loved Chico, but now you two are buddies. You light up when you see him and he always gets a wave from you. We're still working on being gentle, but for now he doesn't seem to mind - any attention he can get is fine with him.
You've become a little off with your sleeping. Where is our man who used to NEVER get up in the middle of the night? Well, you started wanting us in the middle of the night, but last night was the best ever in a long time :)
You are still loving food, bananas are still number one along with sweet potatoes, carrots, peaches and pears. This month we also started some finger foods (asparagus, noodles, bread) but you have always been, and still are, a huge lover of Puffs. I've let you play (i.e. make a mess) with yogurt and Jell-O, these also ended up in your mouth, and Chico's! You also started using a straw this month, out of necessity! I forgot your normal sippy at home when we were on vacation so you had to make do with a new sippy that had a straw, and you mastered it - what a quick learner you are :)
