Parties are always fun, but 1st birthday parties? The best ever. I loved planning this little guy's party, after all, he only turns 1 once! So here is a little recap of the party:
I decided on not doing a theme, since from now on there will probably always be a theme that he chooses! Instead I chose do do colors: green, blue, and orange - great colors and the colors of his bedroom (I can't say nursery anymore, he is 1 year old after all!). We planned on a glorious, sunny day for a birthday party bbq, but instead we got rain and overcast skies, so things were quickly converted outside to accomodate the drizzly weather :( Props to Ben and my parents for all the work they did with this!
Charlie's chocolate smash cake
Food table and a frame that Ben made for me with some leftover wood and chicken wire
Another food table and a banner that I made with black and whites of Charlie with little party hats made from crepe paper and cardstock. This is still hanging up, it is so cute I don't want to take it down yet!
These were the favors for the party, filled with blue, green, and orange M&M's
I saw this wreath on Pinterest and decided to try and make one of my own. I used hundreds of balloons for this bad boy, but it was worth it and now I have it for many more birthdays to come!
I think Charlie would agree that this was one yummy 1st birthday party!!
